LG2 is proud to announce that Josh Stein will be joining the agency as Partner & Chief Creative Officer of the Toronto office. He will assume the role on December 4th, 2023 working with clients across Canada including Chicken Farmers of Canada, Domino’s, Catelli, Gildan, and Under Armour.
"Josh is a proven, experienced leader and professional. Most importantly, he has a true entrepreneurial spirit, and a keen interest in developing great teams and creating great work. His vision and passion for people make him a perfect fit for LG2 and particularly our Toronto office. It was a unanimous decision from all of our partners. Our Toronto team continues to evolve and by adding Josh to the helm, we know he will make a positive impact and leave an indelible mark on the business."
Jeremy Gayton
Partner & President – Toronto, LG2
Well-recognized for his work, Stein has garnered both creative and effectiveness awards from every major international and national award show. He was most recently CCO of McCann Canada where he oversaw 40 creatives across offices in Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary. Under his direction, the agency rose from 34th place in 2017 to one of the top ten on Strategy’s Creative Report Card in three years and produced multi-award winning client work for the likes of Chevrolet, Mastercard, Wendy’s and Kids Help Phone. Prior to joining McCann, Stein was the ECD of Tribal Worldwide and Creative Director at Proximity BBDO where he helped those agencies win Digital Agency of the Year in Canada a total of three times. An entrepreneurial streak has run throughout his career - he founded and ran Blue Room Design Studio in 2000 for four years and opened SaaS company Stuzo’s Canadian office in 2010 until its acquisition by Dachis Group. His enterprising mindset and deep love of creative craft has now brought him to LG2.
“I feel incredibly lucky and privileged to be joining a hugely successful indie like LG2. When you look at the market today, the best work is coming from independent agencies. To become a partner at a company that has consistently fostered creativity and expertise across the country is an incredible gift. There is massive talent in their Toronto office and I’m looking forward to helping build the best independent creative agency in Canada.”
