Permanent position

We are currently looking for a Channel Strategist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Content Strategy Lead, the Channel Strategist will provide support across all strategic work, but also act as the team’s resident analytics and social listening expert. Although a master of all things data, this role will also require supporting other social content team functions as needed. Paid media experience is a major bonus.

This role will be both strategic and hands-on in nature – you should be 50% data nerd, 50% strategy buff. The ideal candidate is scrappy, proactive, results-driven and possesses ownership in everything they do. You should have a strong understanding of social/digital ad units and their intricacies, and how to leverage this knowledge to elevate and improve creative.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Act as client-facing lead on all elements of social/digital reporting: monthly, quarterly, annual, campaign and ad-hoc reporting

Support the Strategy and Account teams through the brief writing process with a focus on user journey/channel planning

Liaise between lg2 and partner media agencies

Perform research/social listening to contribute to competitive audits and/or product/client research

Perform basic social media buying for always-on social

Develop other social/digital reporting capabilities (experience in Google AdWords, SEO, CRM, etc. is an asset)

Consult on social/digital projects across the agency to recommend social/digital ad units per project

Develop insights and draw conclusions based on data

Contribute to lg2’s culture and knowledge via best practices and insights sharing

The ideal candidate

  • 3+ years of experience in advertising, media or a similar industry
  • Has a BA, BBA, BComm or equivalent degree/diploma (or relevant work experience)
  • Has superior verbal and written communication skills (full English fluency required)
  • Is an entrepreneur at heart
  • Is a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others
  • Thrives on a team, but is capable of working independently
  • Has a keen organizational and detail-oriented approach, with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Has a passion for advertising, communication and branding
  • Brings their best to everything they do
  • Is naturally curious about what makes people and cultures “tick” and how they connect with the world
  • Has the ability to deliver clear, concise and compelling strategies in writing and through presentations
  • Experience with social listening and content management tools a bonus (Crimson Hexagon, Sprinklr, etc.)
  • Is extremely proactive, loves problem-solving and has a can-do attitude
