Writer, Internal Communications

We are currently looking for a sharp, skilled writer to join our national team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all official internal agency communications for all three offices (Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto). The brand voice within the agency, the person will be responsible for engaging and managing the lg2 community. They will play a strategic role in agency communications with our 400 employees. Bilingualism is a big advantage.

As the Writer, Internal Communications, you will work independently and be primarily responsible for planning and creating content for the internal editorial calendar and engaging the lg2 community while respecting the agency’s brand tone and organizational objectives.

You will create short copy for the most part, but occasionally long copy too. Regardless of length, you will always succeed in catching the attention of a highly creative and smart community. You master the art of making the complex simple while getting straight to the point. Quick with your keyboard as well as a witty phrase, you like to jump on board and come up with ideas and twists that spark conversations and interactions between lg2 and its people. The agency’s values are perfectly captured in your words. 

You will obtain the necessary approvals in a diligent manner and be responsible for publishing your own communications (including on Slack, our internal communication tool). You will also be required to produce various documents for internal target audiences, providing support to the People & Culture or Operations teams as needed. A master juggler, you will follow up on revisions, translations or adaptations to get all necessary feedback.

Ideally, you are someone who:

  • Minimum of two years of experience, just enough to get your toes wet
  • Bilingual (a big asset)
  • Autonomous and reliable (knows when to go knocking on the right doors)
  • A natural link between teams and approachable
  • Impeccable writing (no mitakes), spot-on copy that skips along nicely
  • Professionalism and discretion
  • Quick, strong and on-time execution
