LG2 is currently looking for an Intellectual Property Manager for its production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the agency’s producers in their day-to-day activities by providing support in all matters related to copyrights, image rights and trademarks, etc. during production.

Responsibilities include, but arenot limited to:

You will act as the main point of contact for all matters relating to intellectual property: managing the rights to LG2’s various productions; reviewing third-party licences for the use of images, fonts, films and other materials; drafting licence agreements and contracts with artists and influencers; overseeing the purchase of fonts and images, etc. You will make it a point to involve relevant stakeholders whenever necessary.

You are a person who keeps on top of developments in the industry and doesn’t hesitate to jump into action. That’s why you make it a priority to have a solid understanding of the various advertising mediums in order to effectively manage all aspects of intellectual property specific to each one.

You are able to build trusting business relationships. You will ensure that the agency’s relationships with its external partners – type foundries, artists, publishers, image bank suppliers, copyright management organizations – remain smooth and collaborative at all times.

Profil idéal

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in intellectual property law management within the artistic production world or a related area
  • French and English, both oral and written
  • Solid ability to draft and edit documents
  • Excellent communication, listening and collaborative skills
  • Highly organized and structured, and autonomous
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly
  • Experience in a creative environment, an asset
  • Member of the Barreau du Québec or the Chambre des notaires du Québec, an asset
