Reporting to the Senior Editor, you will edit unilingual marketing communication copy and do comparative bilingual revisions. Based on your native command of the English language and your thorough understanding of the nuances of the French language, you will seamlessly revise documents, rooting out every instance of Franglais, while respecting each client’s house style and tone. You will also be asked to translate and adapt administrative texts from French to English.
You will follow up with the agency’s internal resources – copywriters, art directors, client services and others – for all editing and translation needs. With your collaborative spirit and superior communication skills, you are adept at conducting open, constructive conversations with your peers when critiquing writing.
On the practical side, you will also be responsible for using the latest editing and translation tools to meet the agency’s current needs.
Last but not least, you’re the kind of person who’s always on top of things and who quickly adapts when the situation (or copy) changes. This means you’re quick on your feet...and your keyboard!
