Combining both strategic and operational HR responsibilities, they will be responsible for evaluating, improving and evolving HR activities. They will also provide support to the team on complex issues.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

You will work with other members of the People and Culture team to provide strategic and tactical plans to employees and managers regarding performance management, organizational structure, learning and development, compensation programs and employee relations. You will have a thorough understanding of the organization’s current and future needs, enabling you to advise managers on optimizing talent and developing their teams to close performance gaps.

You will actively lead efforts to promote an inclusive culture at the agency, based on best HR practices. At the same time, you will provide support to managers in building highly effective, diverse and inclusive teams.

You are resourceful and motivated, proactively identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience and developing effective organizational structures that promote organizational health. You are not afraid to express your opinions and ideas, even if that means going against the grain. You will act as the go-to person in the organization for both managers and employees. You enjoy working in a team environment and know the value of laughter.

You will work with our Quebec City and Toronto offices on a regular basis on national projects, where you will identify, clarify and communicate issues and priorities as well as evaluate progress and reset directions as needed. Your strong organizational skills and thoroughness allow you to move nimbly in a changing work environment.

Ideally, you are someone who:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management or organizational development, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Has a minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
  • Brings experience in coaching employees and managing complex issues.
  • Is knowledgeable about HRIS platforms. At lg2, we use Bob.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations and make decisions based on data with input from previous experience.
  • Can manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Has strong communication skills; must be a clear and effective communicator who is fluent in English and French (both written and spoken).
