We are currently looking for an account director who will work closely with various teams within the agency on different advertising, digital and design mandates. The Account Director leads a client account, or set of accounts, within the agency, ensuring that they are profitable, and growing. They take responsibility for the delivery of quality creative work that meets the client’s business problems and also meets the high creative standards of the Agency. They will do so through the effective management of their own team, and their ability to lead and inspire others inside and outside the agency. They will sometimes be involved with pitches for new business, approaching these with both a creative and commercial mindset.

We are currently looking for an account director who will work closely with various teams within the agency on different advertising, digital and design mandates. The Account Director leads a client account, or set of accounts, within the agency, ensuring that they are profitable, and growing. They take responsibility for the delivery of quality creative work that meets the client’s business problems and also meets the high creative standards of the Agency. They will do so through the effective management of their own team, and their ability to lead and inspire others inside and outside the agency. They will sometimes be involved with pitches for new business, approaching these with both a creative and commercial mindset.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage multi-disciplinary team ensuring all team members are delegated work appropriate for their level and experience and that the team remains challenged and engaged
  • Responsible for P&L for assigned clients
  • ​Be the day to day contact for the Client Marketing Director
  • Be an expert on the client’s business beyond communications
  • Develop communications and planning strategies and creative briefs with the Strategy team
  • Champion the agency’s values and vision
  • Pursue new projects and business opportunities from clients for organic growth
  • Manage cross-agency partnerships, establishing strong working relationships with all agency partners

Ideally, you are someone who:

  • Is able to lead and inspire your team, the wider agency, clients, and other external partners.
  • Commercially and creatively astute.
  • Is confident to take charge when necessary, be decisive and then build support for those decisions.
  • Is responsible and accountable for your own and others’ work, delegating effectively to balance a varied and demanding workload, and appreciates that the team working well can achieve much more than any individual.
  • Is focused on the personal and professional development of your team to optimize their combined performance, understanding when to give praise and feedback.
  • Is good at evaluating creative work; able to give and receive feedback to support its development.
  • Has knowledge and passion about your client’s business, and where and how
  • Has a minimum of 5 years as Account Director/Director experience
  • Holds a proven track record of client and team success
